sometimes i engage in other creative endeavors – like sewing and cooking. i actually really love conventional homemaker type jobs. i love cleaning and making the house look nice, i love gardening, sewing, baking. i suppose i love anything hands on because as much as i like female gendered pastimes, i also love drilling, sawing, construction, fixing my bike, and getting greasy and dirty.
here is a sewing project i did as a christmas present for daniel. it was just a silly thing that i did in addition to his real present, which was a new record player. i’ve found that i treat sewing just like i do drawing, i just go for it. no real planning or forethought, no understructure or patterns. i just figure it out as i go.
here are two silly simple rover and stella dolls, my dog and cat.
and a ramsey doll! with sweater

i was thinking today about how i should work with color more. i like to color digitally and sometimes i even like to paint. i used to really really like to paint back when i did traditional rendering. i’m not sure why i’m not as interested in doing that sort of art anymore. here are a couple illustrations i’ve done with color.
a 7 inch cover for the band wax & wane, put out by valiant death.
and a drawing i did in adobe illustrator of my dog, rover.
